Do the hokey pokey until exhaustion or you are free, whichever comes first

You start to move, and your body breaks through a thin layer of dirt with grass on top.

Examine the area further

You stand up and examine the area.

You are standing in the corner some sort of data storage or server room. There are hundreds of rows of metallic machines.
Everything looks abandoned and overgrown. Vines cover the metal walls and machines; grass, small bushes and even small trees have sprung up through the metal floor, breaking it. Large clumps of moss and vines are everywhere.

The ceiling of the room does not seem to be very high up. It seems to be made of metal, just like the floor and ceiling, and has countless large, jagged holes in it. In some places, it seems to have caved in completely.

Thick metal cables, some ruptured, lie on the floor and hang from above.

Through one of the many holes, you can see the moon. Obviously, it is night.

You do not know which metallic brethren to dance with.

Attempt to plug one of your appendages into the machine and communicate with it.

The machine does not seem to have any places for you to plug anything in. However, you can sense the data contained within it by contact.

Most of the information is corrupted, unreadable or simply useless. However, you can discern that the machine was part of an ancient planetary defense system.

Look up into the heavens, wondering at the civilization that once was. Then take as many machine bits as possible.

Also, look at my hand. How the heck can I sense data through touch???

You look at your robotic hand. It is slightly clawlike. The fingers have interlocking metal plates.

You pick up as many metal scraps as you can.

Try to build a robot buddy

You can't build a robot out of bits of metal. You'd probably need some motors and circuitry to build one.

Search self for any modules such as a radio/phone/etc... Try to communicate telepathically with a sentient being.

Search the room for a remote communication device.

Bend the fingers. Be the robot.
