Is Atmosphir Open-source

Post by Htenneb »

If it isn't you should make it open-source.
Just in case you haven't noticed Nin has been telling us anything lately (dunno bout' Twitter Feed)
So you should let some people here try some stuff around here. There has to be some people who know how to co-ordinate things like : Shops,Have some experience with coding and what not.
Do something.

*Was this a required field XD

Well, I don't know if it's open-source per-se, but the server's code is.

Also, Moved to Atmosphir General.

Atmosphir (the game) is closed source, and no one in this community has access to the actual source code for it.
Troposphir (the server) is open source, licensed under the GNU Affero license, with the code available at the link posted above by bionicnacho. Anyone can collaborate on the project, just fork the repository and make pull requests.

Luckily there is a config file called "request.txt" on the game's folder, it must contain 2 lines which are the server's connection URL

So you went to the download link....
Then took the files.
Tweaked it?
And re-distributed?

They had to code all the Troposphir files themselves. They made it. What he meant by the request.txt file is they just used that to point the servers Atmosphir (the application) looks for.
