Mac Launch Issues?

Postby okaysamurai » March 10th, 2017, 7:20 pm

Hey everyone! Saw Martin in town for GDC last week and got nostalgic. :)

Tried to download the latest build on Mac and can't get it to work. Running a 2012 Macbook Pro, OS 10.11.6. Downloaded latest version of Mono. Launcher works, but when I press Play it closes and nothing happens. Tried the terminal command from the FAQ but nothing has changed. Any tips?

Hey Dave! Nice to see you around :)

That's odd, it seems to be working fine for me. Can you try launching the downloaded game .app directly from

Code: Select all

/Applications/Atmosphir\ Launcher.app/game/Atmosphir.app
?

Thanks...if I do that, it says "You can’t open the application “Atmosphir” because PowerPC applications are no longer supported." and the Atmosphir logo has a big slash through it.

Huh. That actually makes no sense- Atmosphir isn't a PowerPC application. A quick google search for other apps having a similar issue with later versions of OS X mention moving the app to the Desktop or somewhere in your users folder and trying to open it from there. If that works then apparently you can just move it back into Applications.

Thanks for the help - moving to desktop worked!
