[New Screenshot 7/2] Taking Exploration to the Next Level...Coming Soon

I just got back into Atmosphir, so I want your constructive criticism. I haven't designed a level in years. :D

This right here is the starting area of the new level I am working on. Please leave your opinions and any ideas you may have. Now onto the information for the level.

Here is an updated screenshot from July 2. I added many different areas branching off of the starting area, but you can only see a few pictured here. I also added a lot of dialogue and story.

Idea
I've always loved gigantic levels that don't have a linear path. That is the general idea of this level. The story is simple, and is slightly based off of a classic Nintendo video game (can anyone guess which one?): Your company is in debt, and YOU were dropped off onto another world to strike it rich and repay your company's debt. You are dropped in an abandoned village. There are giant mountains and valleys scattered all around and filled to the brim with all sorts of treasures.

The level itself won't be too hard. It will be a MASSIVE level however, as I want to take advantage of the increased capacity. You will be given 100 lives and a ton of time. While there will be traps and hazards, nothing will be too difficult as the level is mainly based on exploration.

Goal
You need to get a certain amount of points and then reach the top of the mountain where your company will rescue you and take you back home. There will obviously be so many extra treasures scattered around the map that completionists can try and collect.

I will try to get some more screenshots in a day or two, so let me know what you think so far!

The big thing with massive levels is not letting it get repetitive and boring. If you're gonna do a huge level, you better spend lots of time on it :bungee:

Oh absolutely, I do plan to spend a lot of time on it. And the level itself won't necessarily be ridiculously long but I plan to add a ton of scenery and atmosphere that will take up a lot of capacity.
