Knytt Stories' Level Editor is an excellent substitute for atmosphir, in terms of being an effective creative output, imo.

Apparently the compatibility issues include the following.
A) Windows 8.1 installs on your machine.
B) Windows 8.1 installer rejects your hardware from the get go and won't let the install proceed.

Wait but guys
I may have actually seriously found a good game creator/sharer for the iOS
http://www.createrria.com/
It's mostly 2D platforming right now, sorta like how Atmosphir is primarily 3D platforming, but it looks like it's got tons of potential
It looks suspicious but it's actually decent and free to download
And the in-app purchases aren't necessary cuz you can earn moneys by doing achievements and playing/designing/publishing
it's like a mobile Gameglobe

I tried that out on a friend's iPod today. I may have to take a look at that. :3

Okay, this isn't a joke topic anymore- completely redid the first post to make it useful for those looking for the next game in this post-Atmosphir world (possible sticky maybe?).

Wowfun said to try to have less stickies. But other than that, my personal opinion, the only things that should be stickied are things that are really important. While I'm sure we all appreciate the efforts, I think it would be better off leaving this thread normal. Sometimes stickies can be HARDER to see than these normal threads and, well... Making the thread a sticky is just not something that's needed. (I just realized this sounds like something Phantom said somewhere on the forums but, it's also my point of view)

On what you've done: Thank you for that! I'm sure many will appreciate this "compilation" of sorts. I'll look in to some of these games so thanks for pointing them out! I'm always looking for new things to play so I might give some of these a try.
