Next gen, this is what I'm doing.
I'm building a 1000 - 2000 dollar gaming PC with a 700 - 1000 dollar GPU, 32gb of ram, and a 1tb hardrive. I will then proceed to purchase a wired Xbox One controller for my computer.
The case will be console sized, and I will write my own GUI to make it console like.
It will be backwards compatible with all old games (because its a windows computer).
And once somebody finally gets a dang Xbox One and PS4 emulator out, I can enjoy the Xbox One, and PS4 titles for free.
This custom console of mine, will have a longer tenure than the PS4 and Xbox 360 (maybe two or three console generations). Seriously, within the next year or two netbooks will overrun the graphical capabilities of these consoles. Look at the rate computer technology is evolving, each year we get something twice or four times as powerful as the thing sold a year prior (don't count Mac OSX, they profit off outdated tech).
The more I think about it, buying a game console is a joke, when a desktop computer can take advantage of any controller, and any game.

So basically you're stealing nasa's computer and installing every emulator on it?Sebastian Lawe wrote:Next gen, this is what I'm doing.
