The only reason why it didn't work was because all our files got corrupted and we cba'd to re-make everything. You guys weren't able to see the progress we had made since that one video we uploaded, but it was actually doing pretty well.StreetLights wrote:Well you guys tried the whole "new engine" thing, but that didn't really work either.
Just face it, atmosphir is kill and we need to rebrand this forum into something else.
Having to start from scratch kind of demotivated the team and then the rest of the team went inactive lol
The Atmosphir concept in itself is actually still, nowadays, a pretty damn good idea if it's able to be excecuted well. I was actually talking about the game today to a developer (because I was talking about the stuff I've done, Aludra [atmo revival] being one of them) and he agreed, saying it was a fantastic idea.
Now that there aren't really any good "Game where you make your own game"s available, that space is out there and if someone where to make a well-made game that fills that space, it could actually be a good success if you ask me.
I just personally, as I said before, don't have the time and while I have programming skills, graphics has always been an issue since I don't really know how to model. It would involve putting together a real team with skills. We've seen how "well" every forum-based dev team has come out, though, so it would need more than that.
I've been wanting to remake everything and give it a shot (I still have /some/ scripts that were used on Aludra around), but as I said, I can't seem to find the time to do it.
