I have a windows 7, i5 processor and 8gb of RAM and I can't play Minecraft and most of games, because of lag.
What should I do?
Download optifine maybe?

I'm guessing you have a crappy graphics card. Games rely on graphics cards more than anything else.
Minecraft is kind of an exception in that the graphics card is less important, but even so... it's the main thing you didn't list, and all the other specs look fine (although i5 processor by itself doesn't say anything about the processor's actual speed, so that's also an unknown), so... yeah.
I would recommend trying Optifine. It's just a general good idea. Improves performance considerably and there's no real downside.
