One More Block

Okay. Both of these fandoms have become the target of mass hate on the internet, and for pretty prejudice reasons. Okay, personally I don't like MLP and find it silly why a grown man would want to watch it. Am I going to stop that person from watching it? No. They enjoy it, and that's fine by me. Many people (including myself) like the art style involved with "Furries" (however I would never get involved in the "weird" side of the fandom [Please, say no more on this topic. Pretty messed up stuff happens]).
However, because some people who like "Furries" do get involved in these activities, people assume that the whole fandom does it. Same goes for MLP and Bronies.
Anyway, I hope this has provided something to discuss (It also allows a pigflag to continue being a pigflag :3)

I personally don't have a problem with either fandom. It's how they bash anyone who tries to bag on MLP at all that grinds my gears.

I've never really been big into many of the fandoms that get ridiculed, so I cannot speak from firsthand. However, I do wish that people on the internet would give up the notion of "What I like is the best and everyone must enjoy it!" even when done for comedic effect

That's not the reason these fandoms are bashed. It's mainly because many people outside the fandom assume that it is completely sexually based, when in actuality it is not.

True, very true. Often times on the internet, the most controversial/disliked by the general public parts of things tend to surface the most frequently. Rather that be because members of the media who support those views are the most talkative or because others tend to pick at those parts the most.

Some people need to open their eyes.
