Really Guys?!

Okay, I know pretty much everyone hates the Xbox ONE. It had a pretty crap DRM policy at the start and of course it costs $100 more than the PS4. But I go round IGN and other gaming youtube channels having a serious, well balanced discussion about the console and I constantly see this:

I don't get it? If it has Xbox ONE in the title it's an automatic dislike? That's pretty idiotic. If I were to make a forum post on here talking about the negatives AND positives of the Xbox ONE, I'd start a pretty interesting discussion. Whereas the rest of the internet seems to think that the mere mention of this consoles name shames the person who is mentioning it and they should be shunned from existence.

What are you guys thoughts on this?

Most of society still thinks that the Xbox One still has the policies that were removed. Often in debates, I hear PS4 fan boys bring up cons that the Xbox One no longer has.
The Xbox One made a bad first impression, and is therefore still remembered as its first presentation.

Yes, but that does not give people an excuse to instantly dislike any video stating its positives (even if there are few).

It doesn't, but people feel as though its justified. Its just like how Mac users immediately knock off Windows and vice versa. Both operating systems have pros, but people feel that their bias overshadows any of that.

In the Xbox Ones case, its "Bad Console, Nuff Said". Its not a valid reason by any means, but people are fine using arguments like that to simply dislike things.

I have only ever briefly scratched the surface of Xbox consoles, but I think it can be traced back to the fact that those cons will ever there to begin with.

Let's face it: The Xbox One made a horrible first impression, and it had been the laughingstock of the video game industry for a while when Microsoft finally got smart and axed all the DRM policies. That didn't happen until about 6 (?) months after the initial announcement, so I guess a lot of people are just kind of annoyed that Microsoft actually thought that would be at all acceptable. That would annoy me to no end too, so I do kind of get where they're coming from.
