I don't agree with the cleaner look :P , but that's just my opinion. The own apps part is pretty cool. And the device supporting you forever is indeed superior to iPhones.
But, I do find that iPhones run much more smoothly than any of the Android phones I've come into contact with. Personally, I have an Android phone, but it's just super slow and laggy...

Take the samsung galaxy as an example. Near the iPhone's price, triple the functionability. The reason some androids are laggy is that it supports more devices, some being quite old.

I've got a Sony Xperia U - any thoughts on how to down the lag/etc?

Try killing some background tasks when you're not using them.

Then get a 32g or 64g iphone.

I would be open to this idea if I still had iTunes on my computer. I used to really like iTunes because I used to find it very quick and snappy, but recent updates have pretty much killed that feel. I don't bother with it on my computer anymore, I only ever buy songs directly from my iPod now.

Kind of a let down really...that would be a pretty efficient approach. :/
I need a shot again, that sweet adrenaline.
