Non-humanoid? Hmm.. Perhaps a creature that commonly build/creates things in the wild? Like a beaver or an ant or a bee?

Something like that would be nice, but those kinds of animals won't go with the theme., and you can't really have a bee or ant equip armor or tools...
The thing is, I'm planning to have a techy theme, with loads of machines, similar to tekkit for minecraft. It wouldn't fit.

I was thinking of something similar to an energy orb, which can control different forms or "suits" that you can make. What do you think?

That would be really really cool - an energy orb is also a very common "figure" in older lore. So that might be something to look at :3
Rabbidfan236 wrote:So then a robot might be a good choice? It would also make it realistic in a sense that respawn points would "rebuild" you.
Rabbid, even if the majority of us do know binary as our second or third language - could we keep discussion in the authors native tongue for ease? :P

If this were a pigflag it would be fine, it's just - it isn't too helpful when someone trying to quickly read over it :P

Hmm, a robot could work. But what kind of robot?
binary, seriously?

And about the energy orb.. How should it 'walk' ? Maybe it could be like a slime?

What do you mean "a slime"? Perhaps, it could hover about, I don't know a few pixels off the ground and like leave a trail of light particles behind it :P

Or it could roll maybe? That would be an interesting gameplay mechanic.

@Entity - I don't think an energy ball would be solid enough to roll.

When I said "slime", I meant.. nevermind, it's a bad idea.
Hovering would be cool, but it might cause problems in tight spaces. I'll think about it.

Could there maybe be jet packs that require fuel? Even better, have fuel as a mechanic. You could drill for oil, and craft gas. Said gas could be used for many applications.

Not exactly. You would build oil rigs, and you would use the harvested fuel for space ships and any other tools.
