As for writing something long, I think just not doing it everyday is the key?
Like if you're invested enough in your own story, it should write itself.
I've by no means written this quickly.
Like, 100,000~ words in 11 months is only 300 words a day. Which is a tiny amount.
(Of course, I write sporadically. Sometimes I'll publish five chapters within a week, and other times it'll be a month before I get back into it.)

My problem is I get an insane amount of planning done, and then I start and I get halfway through the book and then I just get so familiar with and so sick of the plot that I convince myself it's gonna be a crappy book and lose all motivation whatsoever :/ Losing motivation is why I never really get anything done with any art form

I think I'm too much of a perfectionist.

Wow, 11 months? That's some dedication!

Hey Total, I'd love to give it a read--also if you need an editor, I'm pretty knit-picky with grammar, I'm sure I'd be able to catch most if not all of the mistakes. If you're up to it, could you PM me the file? Thanks

Working on it though, Chapter 40's 2/3 done...
