The engine and programming language have also been decided. We'll be using Unity along with C# to build a 2D-style game.

We can add you to the Skype group if you'd like. (When it's active) it's about 47.5% programming talk, 47.5% story/design talk and 5% random conversation haha.

As nacho said, the code name is OneMoreStealth. We may (and probably will) choose a different name once we finish the story and/or game itself, but that's just what we'll call it for now. Here's the design document (if you want edit access, give me your email in the skype group or something): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1I-l ... sp=sharing

Also here's the twitter just for fun: @OneMoreDev (PM me or Skype me for the password if you're involved)

As much as I want to help, there is the issue that there is nothing that I can contribute to this project that I have the resources and/or knowledge to do or make.

Just throwing this out there, but concept ideas, perhaps?
I need a shot again, that sweet adrenaline.

I do have paint.net and FamiTracker. I'm inexperienced in both, but if you guys need any pixely graphics or 8-bitty music, I can give it an attempt.

Is this a good walk cycle? It's my first ever try at a character sprite.

I would get the head to bob a bit. Otherwise it's very good!

I don't quite understand what you're trying to say... do you want to do textures or are those just temporary textures and you want to help with map design?

Yeah, I think that looks a bit better.

Rabbid what's your skype? We've been doing most of the design and discussions in a skype group.

The image was just a prototype I was making. The graphics and map design are just for the purpose of me learning how to use Unity2D, but I thought it looked cool haha :)

I've been doing some extensive playing around with Unity. I've built a brick breaker physics test, and have been getting a feel for how scripts affect the environment. Turns out you can make some insanely bouncy balls.

Feel free to play around with my terrible brick breaker test here.

Did I hear a game? If there are any programmer slots, you have my keyboard!
I've made some Unity games before, most of them in C#, you can take a look here.

I'd love to participate on a group project!

Maybe work on map generation?...

Evolution of the run cycle thus far :D
1- original legs
2 - legs with 4-frame lead-in
3 - legs with 4-frame lead in - noticeable
4 - body added, removed lead-in to check loop consistency

The protagonist :D . I'm calling him Newport as a pun and a nod to Winston from 1984 by George Orwell.

Looks nice! Although the art style seems familiar, I swear I've seen something like that in another game somewhere...

I guess I could have time to write some story ideas if you want the extra set of hands, eyes, pens. I don't think a 2D project would need much more story than "Find this. Kill this. Jump this. Do this. You win." so I'll be able to help with it alongside my current work. :3

And if it does turn out to need much more story than expected, that's great too. :D

So... EST (UTC-5).
I've been around since 2008. And I'm old. Yay. Pretty sure I notched a fair amount of LOTD/XPs but somehow always like my underrated levels more. Go figure. My best design days are behind me, but I'll try to not be too shabby.

We actually have a story in the works and could use a writing team to make the story realistic. So far the writing team consists of me, Total, and ElectroYoshi. So yea! We need as much help as we can get!

What he said ^

Although pretty much everybody is working on everything :P When someone has a new idea in the Skype group we all discuss it and keep it or throw it out basically.

If you PM me your Skype, sir, I'll add you to the group :3
