What's The Most Iconic Atmosphir Level?

Post by RatedM+Films »

I'm looking to recreate an Atmosphir level for art class, but I don't know what to do! Any ideas?

I don't know what THE most iconic one was, but here's a few that were pretty famous:
  • Special Stage series by Yanhma
  • Quest for Sleep by Yanahma
  • Shrea by okaysamurai
  • Wet-Dry World by virtualboyke
  • Your Run series by Bartman64

well theres that one that was just a bunch of floating platforms, but I dunno how that'd work as an art project

or there was that one level that was a planet, again not sure for an art project

this one'd be pretty good - it's a recreation of linden, the logo of minor studios or something. Not a level exactly, but an important atmosphir icon nonetheless

but really it depends on what your project is - a painting? go look at the level browser now there's plenty of good shots or levels to get good shots of. A model or something else? Have a look on google images and see what comes up.

Yeah, if you want to hear about levels on the OMB server that could be good for this:
  • Any of StreetLights' horror levels
  • Xyhargka by Baufritz
  • Piston Labratories by PhoneticHijinks
There's others too but these are the only ones I could think of off the top of my head. Hope these suggestions help!

If I had to pick one I'd say Mario Kart Raceway by Frustr8TOR, because I remember this level ALWAYS being in the LOTD section no matter when I checked.

If I can have more than 1 choice, then I'd say one of the other most iconic levels of the game IMO is the 5 Minute Level or 10 Minute Level or whatever it was called. It's the one with the random blocks everywhere, as shown in papaya's post. Probably not a good idea for an art class project since it's not very pleasing to the eye, but I remember that level as being the oldest level playable on the new Atmosphir client, and therefore is iconic to me.

Does anyone still have the Floating Islands of Pandora level around? Loved it. Or the beginning at least, I never got too far.

I remember one level, a 'hard to beat' one. Looking from outside it was just a pyramid (maybe it don't apply for an art concept), don't remember who created it... but from inside it was an entire master piece of design and gameplay (making memory at the end you could reach the top and find a treasure, coins and all that stuff).

PS: So great memories with those pics. Do someone of you have a pic of the level I created in coop with Daimon? (shame on me I don't remember the name of my own design... in help, it had a moving labyrinth inside a cave, was a pretty cool thing).

Cheers guys!

Oh yeah, that too. :P

And the rest of the Tutorial levels. They all kinda fall into that category.
