The Custom Server Has Arrived!

We now have a (partially) working custom Atmosphir server! To use it, just (re)download Atmosphir via the link provided in this thread.

You can't log in or register, but you CAN play the levels that I (manually) upload to the play browser. Uploading levels in this way takes time, so expect to see the server become more populated over time as I continue uploading levels to it.

The server was put together by Nin, so thank him for his hard work! He's still trying to get accounts working.

Aw, I have to download that 700MB again for months... I hope you can upload the only changed files because I already have one including the files Dev mode requires.

I know it takes a while to download, but can't you leave it running in the background?

Maintaining both "standalone" and "upgrade" copies of the game is a bit complicated for me, especially when you consider that I already have to keep track of separate Mac, Windows, and Developer downloads.

Fantastic! Will the server support multiplayer too? And also, I noticed you uploaded your own screenie for VoL- so the process is that we have to run all levels we want added by you and give you a thumbnail as well for it?

It probably could if you were able to log in, since the multiplayer was all p2p. But since you CAN'T log in atm, there's no way to know for sure.

I haven't even finished uploading all the levels in The Atmosphir Collection (the collection of levels I saved once it became clear Atmosphir's days were numbered). Once I do, I'll set up some system for submitting levels you want uploaded (and by system, I mean something like sending me a PM with an attachment).

In order to give a level a thumbnail, I have to manually take a picture, resize it, and upload it, which takes time. This is why only three of the levels currently uploaded have thumbnails. Whenever I start having people submit levels, I'll ask them to include a picture as well (276x194 png). It does not necessarily have to be a direct screenshot, but it should be representative of the level.

Speaking of: If there's a level currently on the play browser that doesn't have a thumbnail, and you want to give it a thumbail, send me a PM. It should be a png file with resolution 276x194.

(fwiw, In Vengeance of Love's thumbnail was pulled of my blog, which is why it has the word-art on it).

Okay, I downloaded the Dev version but I see none of your levels showed up in the menu and there's no "Play" button.

I honestly wouldn't mind going into each level and photographing a picture of it, I am no Ansel Adams but I can probably get some decent photos. Would I then just put them all in a zip file and send it your way? I don't mean to flood you with images to upload but if it is something you are interested in I would love to!

No, don't download the dev version!!! Download the regular version. The regular version is set up for OneMoreBlock.
