Running on Windows. Just downloaded Atmosphir "for the first time". I have Gtk. The launcher did all its updates and stuff, I hit 'play' and it started loading the level browser, then got stuck at 19%.

Are you getting any messages at all from Atmosphir?
Try going to C:/ProgramData/Atmosphir and run Interface.exe directly from there. Does the 19% bug still happen?
Note that ProgramData is a hidden folder.

That seems to have done the trick. So do I have to do this every time I want to play?

You could just create a shortcut for Interface.exe. It's weird, some people have been having this issue but some don't. What's odd is that the exe in Program Files, all it does it execute Interface.exe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'll add it to the FAQ.

I occasionally have a similar problem, which is the known "Stuck at __%", but a restart usually fixes that

Try the Extended Search in Ctrl-F.
Better, but it still no replacement for the text search in Project Browser.
