The Case against unbanning Papaya
#1 He's been known to troll/spam, even after having been banned/unbanned
#2 the mods have a grudge against him

The Case for unbanning Papaya
#1 There's reason to believe he won't misbehave
#2 He used to be a fairly respected community member in Atmosphir's heyday, why shouldn't we take this chance to help him try to reintegrate into the community?
#3 He is a great level designer and has some of the best levels in the browser right now
#4 Atmosphir is going to die without active users and designers, and it's hard to see him continuing to design levels if he knows he's not going to be unbanned
#5 Finally, He's already be banned for MONTHS AND MONTHS now, given all of the above, isn't it time to unban him?

Also mods, if your perspective alone is good enough to keep papaya banned forever, it's good enough to stand up to public scrutiny.
I'd like to hear the opinions of everyone who votes on this topic.

Come on guys, it's time to see some action.

If he doesn't behave. we'll bank 'em again. Hit 'em where it hurts. We'll get his home foreclosed. Downgrade his credit. Increase the interest on his car payments.

he sounds kind sounds like a rude person. And even so, he was offensive with his level names on Atmo. so I think he should be banned for life!

Okay first off, you are judging on first impressions, which really you shouldn't do. It's like applying a bad stereotype to someone instantly just because they are a different race/religion etc.

Secondly, let's have a look at papaya's levels shall we?

Street, while I am also personally supportive of the idea to unban him - I think you are bringing up issues and topics that are, one fairly loosely related to the topic, and two are much more substantial than the internet alone. I am not saying you are wrong, but I think those metaphors could very easily distract from the actual discussion.

Also, relating this to SOPA is more of an ad hominem topic than any dispute towards opposition.

In terms of my thoughts on the vote, I am really excited that the community is voicing their opinion. I think the general consensus was already fairly clear from the previous topic. I am going to try and speak with Papaya, within the next few days, possibly tomorrow. I have had other responsibilities on my plate lately so I have been doing my best to make time were I can. Does this sound alright?
