Although it's worth noting that forum games/spam board posts aren't counted on pretty much every other board I've seen

That's actually not a bad idea, I am not sure how this would be done on Xenforo. However, I will look into this, as well as talk about it to the others

I suppose part of the push would be that mainly that things like Count to 10,000 kind of artificially inflate post counts. It isn't a major issue, but I know some people get kind of specific over post counts

Voxelus did indeed discount forum games when calculating post count. We've talked about doing it on OMB, I just don't know how.

I can look into it some more, I'm sure there's a way to do it. I mainly haven't bothered because I think paying attention to post count is kind of silly.

post count is now viewed as a calculation of authority or superiority, a user's rank if you will. what better way to better this calculation than to make it more about "who has participated in the most legitimate discussions" rather than "who has posted the most spam in the spam board(s)"

I've always looked it as less a "superiority" but more so a rate of activity, I of course can't gage the quality of that activity without looking into it further. I don't really think of it as a merit of quality, but quantity - which on it's own isn't a negative thing. Active users are great, and I think that is certainly something we should encourage - but I at least, understand, why someone would wish to exclude forum games and pigflags.
