What Do You Think Of Setting Up A Steam Group?

With our Steam group, it's easier to host events such as HL2

M and Minecraft. It is also our alternative chatting place (with its chatroom feature and discussions area), what do you guys think?

It's not a bad idea, although I hope the chat in particular wouldn't split the community between it and the real chat on the site.

...not that anyone has really been using the chat on the site. <_<

Indeed, it's pretty unnoticeable. I also hope the forum community and the Steam community are the same people just with different usernames... The group will be private anyway.

The only part I don't like about the idea is the chat, since there would be two different chats. Otherwise it's brilliant.

I don't exactly remember my username. Also, I never get on steam so this is definitely a noob question. But is there any way to transfer ownership of the group? I'm pretty sure ownership of the group needs to reside with the managers of this website. Specifically, either Adam, because of his community manager title, or wowfun because of his involvement with setting up such things.

Like I said, this is a noob question and I don't in fact know if it even matters who owns the group. If not, more power to ya.

Well, the first thing I did is to invite Adz and then decorate a little bit.

Other requests will be granted later.

Also, the noob question is already answered before it is even asked. It was part of the plan so I didnt create this group just to brag that I own this group. I can demote myself later so there's no need to worry.

Not me. I only ever use Steam when I have to play Steam-exclusive games like Portal, and I NEVER use it as a social network. So, it really should belong to Adz.
