Really Late E3 Thread
So for some reason I decided to watch E3 this year, despite burns on previous years.
Bethesda
For a first conference, pretty awesome. Dishonored 2, Fallout 4, and a remake of Doom are awesome announcements. Actually looking forward to their stuff.
Microsoft
Meh. I mean, it's not horrible like previous years, but they just didn't really show that many interesting games. Although to be fair, they did actually show them, and not just talk about DRM, DLC and pre-orders, so that's a huge improvement. Halo 5 looks fine, Dark Souls III looks awesome.
Electronic Arts
*snore*
Wait, they showed games? Sorry, I must have blinked and missed them.
Ubisoft
Dear Lord the host was horrible. Also, Jason Derulo . Glorious.
Cringiness aside, there was actually some interesting games shown. Of course, the best announcement wasthe first one, but how are you gonna top that?
Sony
Sony won so hard. The Last Gaurdian. Shenmue III. A Final Fantasy 7 remake. Batman: Arkham Night. Sony KILLED it this year.
Nintendo
Starting with Star Fox? Great stuff. The new four-swords, three-player Zelda 3DS-thing looks okay too. And of course, Nintendo always has fun at their conferences, with the Muppets and all. Yeah, that happened.
Other then that, it was kind of underwhelming unfortunately. There wasn't a lot of new stuff, it was just updates. It felt more like a Nintendo direct then an E3 presentation, and that was disappointing.
I didn't watch Square Enix's conference because ew.
PC Gaming
Oh my gosh this was the longest two-and-a-half-hours of my life. Nothing happened here. NOTHING.
Well okay, the Microsoft guy coming out to announce the Windows 10 thing and Killer Instinct being released on PC was cool. That was it.
All in all though, this was a good E3. Sony won.

Fury X Hype
Also Xbone backwards compatibility makes a 360 emulator pretty much certain. + Xbone fallout 4 mods. Can't wait for some kid to download a 4k texture pack and fry his xbox.
Also god damn if tom clancey's The division gets downgraded anymore it'll be a twin stick pixel shooter by next e3.

This year's E3 just put me to sleep. Even Nintendo's presentation didn't do a whole lot for me. Most of the interesting stuff to come out of them was just updates on games they announced last year.
As far as new games go, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, Star Fox Zero, Dark Souls 3, and Shenmue III were the only ones to really interest me. I just found the whole thing so dull. Nothing less, but certainly nothing more.

I need a shot again, that sweet adrenaline.

Halo 5 and Arkham Knight were the only games I really cared for out of E3.
Assassins Creed Syndicate doesn't seem like it will be my kind of game and I have no prior connections to the other games displayed.
Quite dissapointed theres nothing new in regards to the next Legend Of Zelda game for Wii U. E3 2014 had a rather short and shitty trailer, and this year, no new trailer.

Not surprised the Xbox 360 emulator is slower. The fact they managed to convert the IBM Power PC chipset instructions to x86 instructions is bizarre enough. In any event, they have a full 6 months to optimize their emulator before this feature is released to public.StreetLights wrote:

Good emulation requires an insane hardware increase. My laptop surpasses the hardware of a ps2 but emulation still screws up.
EDIT: Also backwards compatibility is a bit too late. Most people who still want to play xbox 360 games will still own a 360 because of the lack of backwards compatibility until now.
