OK look, I realize all the Zelda games have a lot of emotion in the mix plot-wise, but Skyward Sword got me (and a lot of others from what I've heard) in ways the other games didn't. So, if you've played Skyward Sword, what did you think was the most emotional moment in the whole game?

-_- Someone refresh my memory. When was the last time I posted a thread on here where the first post actually had something to do with the subject matter?

I loved Skywards Sword's story, even if I thought the gameplay and overworld had A LOT of problems.

I think the most memorable plot twist in a Zelda game is that moment with Zelda as...oh, wait.
Spoiler
When you find out Zelda is Hylia reincarnated. Apart from the shock of the reveal, it is a very interesting idea for Hyrule's lore and mythology. My jaw totally dropped.

Well, time to ring in with my own opinion.
Spoiler
I think the most emotional moment was when Zelda sealed herself in that crystal after you finish the Fire Sanctuary. I'll be honest here and say that I actually did end up shedding a couple of tears at that point. I mean, seriously, Link went to all that trouble trying to reunite with his best friend, only to find that he still hadn't accomplished it, even though he was standing directly in front of her.

Also, this is from that very same scene:

This was a dead giveaway that Link had huge feelings for Zelda, and it was pretty clear that he was only doing this because he couldn't imagine a world without her. This, to me, is what really drove the game.

Seriously.

If you're gonna post on my threads, you might want to make it actually be even remotely related to the actual subject matter. Honestly, I really doubt it would kill you.

:O <takes offense not really>
hehe seriously tho, I can understand that, though I guess it did kind of relate because I was talking about it in a more joking manner, but I'm fine with whatever floats your boat. :D

OK, thank you.

I'm gonna go ahead and steer this thread back on topic.

I was also pretty irritated at the part of the game after the Earth Temple, where Impa scolds Link basically calling him a worthless piece of garbage. He looked so hurt at the end of that, and I was really hoping there would be some kind of plot twist later in the game where Link would end up having to fight Impa. Needless to say, I was very disappointed when this never happened.

the part when i replayed it and finally realized that it's a soulless, unaffecting, tedious, filler-laden waste of time with a design philosophy and pacing structure so reprehensible i'm not sure how it was greenlit

by far the most boring, unmemorable, and unresonant zelda game ever made

can i tell my 14-year-old self this

it wasn't that bad lol. just a very hand holdey game with gameplay elements that could get annoying at times. the story isn't as good as MM and WW imo but it wasn't the Worst Zelda Game of All Time.

that title obviously goes to the cdi zelda games (~:
