New, consistent logo needed

With the recent re-purposing of the atmosphir.com domain, I feel that some aspects of this site are going to need polishing, and what communicates the purpose of a site better than a logo?

While the current, default logo introduced 2 years ago (the one displayed with the Quarto theme) is decent-looking and is certainly an improvement over the one before it, the main problem with it is that it bears little to no thematic or aesthetic relation with Atmosphir and as a result fails to properly communicate what the site is about, why it was made, and what we're doing. Until we develop a better option, I suggest using the font/style used with the Eles theme in conjunction with the Troposphir emblem:

Well, technically that logo you posted was supposed to be our new logo overall. There's also a colored version that can be seen as the site's favicon. I'd post it but I can't seem to find it right now...

I get that, but the point is that there needs to be a logo consistent across both themes that does as good a job expressing atmosphir as the Eles one does, so that when someone visits the site for the first time, the logo being the first thing they see, they're like "oh cool there's the atmosphir logo, i remember that"

Yeah, I don't think it really makes much sense to have an Atmo-centric logo with one theme and not the other. Especially seeing as "the other" refers to the default theme.

It's tricky to design a logo in such a way that it looks good on multiple themes, but we have some pretty talented graphic designers here, so I'm not really worried about that.

Honestly, I think the colored version could fit into the default theme somewhere, since it would match the ocean aesthetic and color scheme anyway.

I remade the gear so its uniform/symmetrical all around, and applied it to the 2 logo merge design.

The old logo, which we dont really use now was done by a pro graphic designer.

If someone wants to come up with a new one, go for it, could be a fun competition.

One for C1OC, one for CityBugClub, its all the same club, but appeals to different people.
