I didn't see a, "don't hack the forums using hack devices descused in technology talk," rule, or even a "no hacking" rule.

It of course isn't reasonable to come up with a rule for every single circumstance we may find ourselves in. If we somehow managed it, the rules would get in the way of legitimate and honest actions. We wouldn't want to interfere with legitimate hacking.
