Just Uploaded A Bunch Of Old Levels.
All under the username 'Atmosphirians'.
I tried to edit the database to display the names of the levels' actual creators, but it didn't appear to work. Also, all of the screenshots are broken, so I'll probably eventually have to update them to fix that.
But it's 3am and I need to go to sleep, so for now, I thought you guys would enjoy it.

yay
thanks wfh you did clean this time
also since you uploaded them to a separate account do you think it would be possible to make the account public so people can have a look at the design of the levels for themselves? (or make them all edit-unlocked, but I didn't think that was currently possible)

The problem is that many of these levels were edit locked in the old game. I obtained them by specifically asking various users if they could send me copies of their levels, and in a couple cases it actually took quite a lot of convincing.
In other words, they aren't mine to unlock.
Obviously, some of these levels were edit unlocked in the old game, but I didn't keep track.

I don't see any harm in unlocking them, thoughWowfunhappy wrote:The problem is that many of these levels were edit locked in the old game. its not like a lot of the designers there have any intentions of coming back anyway
it'd be a good insight for people looking to design levels now- examples, I guess
unless of course the people you asked specifically said 'also don't let anyone else edit them' or yanahma drew a willy out of frame in one of his levels

I don't know, I think in redistribution of others work - any notion of hesitation should probably be honoured. Plus that, in many cases when playing a level you can begin to figure out how an element was made. If there is anything that someone doesn't understand at all - I am sure that they would likely get an answer if they just made a post.
I am all for an open door, but I think I am going to side with Wowfun in saying that keeping others work in a state to be enjoyed whilst protecting it, is better than nothing.
Also, to comment on topic Thank you very much Wowfun for uploading all of these, I am really looking forward to going back through them!

Nope, it isn't. I tried to edit unlock one of my levels the other day just to see what would happen, and nothing did.
I need a shot again, that sweet adrenaline.

i should have. I had a bunch of drafts on my computer of levels that I hadn't finished (desktop version), i didn't delete them or anything, and those are all gone too. :C
I might try to remake Watermelon Festival if I remember enough of it; Desert Canyon however was too big to make an actual remake of. :CCCCC

Just always keep the main topic in mind, please
Well, that could be a bit more dangerous when people can delete levels, and comment on levels. It would be very easy for someone to simply log-in and delete the entire list of levels. They could also post comments on the level, which would likely appear to be from the creator. It causes more problems than it solves honestly.papaya wrote:if he changes the password to something harmless (since I assume he used a personal password) then I don't see the harm in it

eh, true, but surely there's some way of A) Logging who accesses the account and B) if it does get deleted, wfh can reupload em again.
at the very least, he could send us the files themselves. I have word from Yanahma that he "doesn't give a shit" if people look at his levels in design mode, so maybe wfh could send me the drafts via pm?
