Y'know how you can hold either Q and E and spin the scrollwheel at the same time to move stuff up and down freely? You have to do that, and place the hazard once it's just low enough to not be visible over the surface.

take a regular floor spike tile and make the spikes barely visible below the ground (with q/e + scrollwheel)

Helpful tip: Props will in close proximities slide to being on-top of the platform of that floor. Making it so, spike platforms will automatically rest on top of the block you are trying to hide them in. It is often times easier to first use the scroll wheel technique, next to a block/platform. So, line it up, but be placing the spike hazard in an empty square. Then, copy and paste that onto the square that has the platform, since for some reason props won't adjust to small inclines if copied first.

Also, the hazards damage needs to be set to -1, but I am sure you already know that :P

Place a floor hazard, modify the settings of it.
Copy-paste the hazard.
Hold Q or E and move down carefully until the hazard is lit below the floor.

I figured you probably did. I mostly worded my post like that to make it flow a little better.
