Unfortunatly i lost a ###load of my old level backups, amongst that all my LOTD and contest winners except the batman one, wanted to know if anyone still might have backups for some of them etc.

I have a ancient backup of my files in the old fileformat (.iapi) but i guess we cant convert those right?

I was wondering this too. Perhaps we can get in contact with the owner of Atmosphir.com and get the levels off?

I highly doubt they still have all the levels stored... The entire site is just blank. Then again, that might just be the frontend, though.

I've tried emailing him a long time ago and had no luck :P

You can get emails and phone numbers and addresses from anybody that owns a website if they dont have host protection or whatever it's called.

Send Rohan a phone call. Rohans love phone calls.

Yeah, exactly! It's very likely the drafts still exist and that they wouldn't take him freaking forever to find if they did, right? RIIIIIIIGHT???

As far as we know the old MiSt offices have not been occupied by new management yet, and all of our accounts, account info, levels, and messages are all just sitting in a database somewhere in the MiVe building, still completely intact.

Not that this rohan guy would have access to them, obviously.

Unless they were paying someone else to do the hosting, in which everything could be lost since the site has been down for like a year.

I would hope so- I have over 80 non-complete drafts at about 75% completion including several sequels to LOTDs and XPs of mine that were pretty decent at the least. And a ton of new explorations of concepts as well. I might try to recreate some from memory some time, but no promises.

I have a few levels of mine I'd like to see again myself. Then cry after seeing how awful they actually were.
How much would the rights to Atmosphir and everything cost???

I believe WFH and Hollotype (or whatever his name is now) were trying to see if they could recover Atmo's rights. Wowfun actually got to calling the bankruptcy court thing or whatever but I don't remember how far he got. I think he needed a lawyer to proceed or something like that. Our thoughts are that the bank owns the assets now.

Fwiw, don't delete those iapi drafts. I have no idea how but I suspect they are theoretically convertible. The dev version has a toggle to show old levels in the play browser.

Wait really? That's crazy! I was always curious how they worked in the conversion of those, I thought it was some sort of desktop client they had to do manually but it could have been built into the game I suppose :P
