I'm Having Trouble With Skype For Iphone

So today I pulled up my Skype app on my phone for the first time in over a month. Only one problem: My messages on there aren't up to date. On my laptop, Skype auto-updates every time I get a new message, so every message I get while I'm away from Skype appears the next time I pull it up. However, this is not happening with my phone. The most recent messages on my phone are from mid-May.

This app is kinda pointless if it isn't up to date, so...halp?

Skype is just reaaaally weird on the mobile version. It updates weirdly at first and takes a while, but then all of the sudden you stop getting notifications, and then it turns out I can't even use any Camera app while Skype is installed.

I would advise not using it. :P

Maybe someone else knows how to work it, but it just hasn't been a great experience for me.

What mobile OS are you using?

Ah, well, I'm on the latest version of Android and still having issues. Seems it's horrible cross-platform as well.

Yeah, but this problem wasn't really present for me in the beginning. It just kinda...showed up. Because of that, I'll probably try just re-installing the app and seeing if a fresh start helps anything, since it usually does help, at least on iOS devices.

Microsoft doesn't care for its products outside their platforms. Skype for Android is glitchy, Skype for Linux is glitchy AND ancient, Skype for iOS isn't that great (as I heard about it, I don't have Apple devices to confirm).

One thing that helps sometimes in Android is closing the app fully (in iOS 6 I believe it's 3 clicks on the button)
