Also, sometimes a cigar is just a giant vagina in the desert that swallows men whole.

Do you by chance have any sources on this? I'd like to read more about it.

Fair warning though, these articles were both written at the height of the movement, so they might be somewhat dated.
I need a shot again, that sweet adrenaline.

At last! We get to the big dumb ending, where we see the excitement and the passion... that thousands of computer animators have for getting paychecks.

I'm surprised this horse isn't dead already. All it seems to be is two sides fighting at eachother for the sake of their own beleifs.
Any argument that has one or both sides arguing something with deep rooted subjectivity as a source is doomed to last forever.
I've never really cared about this GamerGate, Anti-GamerGate stuff. I read the general trail of events that started it. Was originally on the side of the women affected (it turned out the rumour that made this all blow up was false, and people who tried to help were made victims too). But then, some of these affected women have proven to be rather toxic themselves after the fact. Its just a big complicated mess with too many takes on the subject.
Honestly, cant even pick a side when both represent misplaced hostility. Neither side is fixing anything, regardless of the "original motos" for these groups. You have the 'Radical Feminists' spouting pure sexism towards men as a whole, and vice versa with the 'Pro GamerGate' folk.
For me personally, I beleive a group is the sum of its actions, not its mantra.
To associate with a group, is to associate with its actions and beleifs.
Sure, standing up for uncorrupt journalism could be something I'd stand for. Can't really say that makes me a supporter of GamerGate though. Its actions brought nothing but termoil, which also gave valid reason for feminists to jump in and provide backup. Of course, that matastisized into something equally horrid. Now, both sides just shout at eachother, reconfirming eachothers prejudices each time an argument is had. Nothing constructive has come out of them either.
Thats my two cents on the matter.
