You say decoration can be outside of the 25x25x25 grid, what about triggers etc.?

If it affects the gameplay it cannot be outside of the 25x25x25 area

Thank God, I needed some way of curbing my designer's block. xD

I don't know if I will be making a separate spotlight thread for my entry, so I felt I should post here~! After a long hiatus from designing, I am finally returning to the design editor and am happy to have created my entry,

Small Strides over Sandy Slopes

I really wanted to create something with a fun and happy air to it, so I hope that I have delivered and that you all have fun exploring the secrets, finding the treasure and traps around the mountain of Sandy Slopes!

Take care!

Lord it's been too long since I've actually made anything. Maybe I'll dust off the keyboard and give it a go.

I have to say, Small16 is probably one of the best moments to get back into designing. As the limit area makes you think about all of your design choices methodically, as well as sort of focuses/limits your choices so decisions come a bit easier.. It is kind of similar, to how you might find those who struggle a lot with prose art, may be fairly decent at pixel art. It is kind of interesting and we don't tend to think about it.

Best of luck to anyone submitting~!

Well the grid is 5 blocks larger on each axis compared to the previous small challenge :P

I made something. I suppose I might make a thread in a bit, but it was more for fun and creating a solid leaderboard challenge and "slow race" than anything else. Just happened to be within the 25x25x25 limits so why not? It's called Mazzo's Jungle Jump with the [Small16] tag of course.

Sounds wonderful :cameron: I will give it a play when I have the chance!

Soooo... if I had a trigger within the 25x25x25 area, and had it activate a basic prop light source outside the 25x25x25 area, is that allowed or no.....?

:pigflag: <--- also wu?

The trigger must be within the area

Due before Monday arrives? Orrr due sometime before 11:59pm Monday? Also I assume we're going by the board clock? ---> (All times are UTC-05:00) :geek:

While I am not exactly the person in charge of everything-- but if I recall the board time is set by your user preferences. Perhaps, they will go by before 11:59pm on the day before Monday, in Standard GMT: 0... Although I could be wrong~! I would imagine there wouldn't be that much drama if you get the level in, roughly around the conclusion time.. I would argue that you should be included even if you are technically a little bit late because of time zones... So, no major pressure there.

Ideally, you probably should at least TRY to get it in before then, but I also doubt they'll hold it against you if you just barely miss the mark.
