some feedback:
-everything looks too plain/gritty for an isle delfino recreation (or is that the point?)
-why not change the skybox to blue, so as to represent the ocean and sky?
-including the fruit vendors would be a neat touch
-are the islands from the original going to be there? how about the boat?

First, thanks for the input.

1. That's actually why I included the word "almost". I still have some touching up to do on that.
2. I would, but I think the afternoon skybox conveys the idea of a tropical island better.
3. When I put the finished product out, check out that area.
4. The islands definitely will be, the boat probably will be.

Sounds neat, ty for clarifying

Seeing this sort of inspired me to maybe recreate peach's courtyard from Mario 64 as a multiplayer map, or maybe even the castle interior.
