I got Pikmin 3 at Target today, and I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm not gonna say the Wii U GamePad is indispensable, but if you revert to a Wii Remote and Nunchuck or a Wii U Pro Controller, you are at a huge disadvantage. So it actually takes advantage of the Wii U GP's hardware capabilites (to a lesser extent than Nintendo Land admittedly, but still). Battles are more strategic than they were in the first two games, and require a lot more thought than just "Throw Pikmin like there's no tomorrow". Now, I do feel the need to caution any Pikmin fans who may be considering buying Pikmin 3; while the first two games are pretty much identical in terms of difficulty, Pikmin 3 really kicks it into high gear in comparison. But if you have a Wii U and are looking for an exclusive game to play on it, you may be able to find the Wii U's first gem in Pikmin 3.
Edit: I just logged about 3 hours playing Mario & Luigi: Dream Team for the 3DS and I'm really enjoying it so far. Definitely a worthy entry into the Mario & Luigi series. Now, I will be frank here and say that it may not be for everyone because it's relatively lacking in challenge compared to the other three games (although there are some pretty tough boss battles). But if you're into the series, it's definitely worth checking out.

I need a shot again, that sweet adrenaline.

Sonic Colors? probably. Crash Bandicoot 2? Not so much.StreetLights wrote:Brilliant games those two. You'll have a blast.
I've gotten to the 3rd world, but I'm trying to go back to earlier levels to get all of the wumpa fruit, effectively getting all of the gems, and that has proven to be a MAJOR lost cause and waste of time. For almost all of the game's "hard" levels, rather than having the difficulty be based on good level design and fairness, it is instead based on tedium and unfair level design. ESPECIALLY the levels where you're being chased by something and you can only see 3 feet in front of you, so you have to (speaking of tedium) memorize the layout of the level. I find it difficult saying a game has fair challenge when half of the time you die you find yourself blaming the game instead of yourself.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Saints Row IV, Pikmin 3, Remember Me, Diablo 3, Papers Please, Gone Home, Plants vs. Zombies 2, Payday 2, Mario and Luigi: Dream Team, Halo: Spartan Assault, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Tales of Xillia, Dragon's Crown, Towerfall, Shadowrun Returns, DOTA 2, Shin Megami Tensei IV, and much, much more right now- mainly for review purposes.
I've been around since 2008. And I'm old. Yay. Pretty sure I notched a fair amount of LOTD/XPs but somehow always like my underrated levels more. Go figure. My best design days are behind me, but I'll try to not be too shabby.

Hopefully I won't die a lot.
