I was so hyped for Gameglobe. When I got the invite, I was excited! Until I got to the design mode. The interface was wonky and I hope they add customizable controls cause of the steep learning curve. However, some of the levels were good. The points system is tolerable, and I like the GFX. I have to get back to that game.

Right now, I enjoy Gameglobe. I can see it getting boring in the future if there aren't some changes, but it just entered open beta so I won't judge it too hard on that aspect. As far as paying for the design pieces, it's fine with me as long as you can earn that same currency normally within the game by playing the levels and such and you aren't forced to buy anything.
I would not go as far to say that it's better than Atmosphir, but it's definitely not worse. Both went about level creation in fundamentally different ways -- while Atmosphir had a little more freedom to create whatever you wanted, Gameglobe absolutely whips it in terms of polish, and has the capacity to make much more organic levels.

It's my first Leaderboard Challenge of the year.
Island Joyride
Its gameplay is inspired by Jetpack Joyride and I rather made it in a different way.

It does so many things right. Designers have a ton of freedom, more than Atmosphir ever allowed. Not only do you have a ton of props to build with, but you can tweak the environment and lighting and scripting to no end.
However, it all falls apart with the games physics, which downright suck. Precise jumps are insanely frustrating, because the game just never does quite what you want it to.
It's okey, but there are some things that make the game bad... sadly.

There is alot of very similar spam, but there are also creative ones (some even better then alot of Atmosphir levels). The design mode takes some getting used to, and it's NOWHERE near as good as Atmosphir, but I can work with it. I have 2 levels already.TheLastLink wrote:The levels are almost all the same, The design mode sucks, and the character sucks.
The character really does suck though.
