Should My Thread Be In Gaming Gossip Or Technology Talk? Here Are Some Guidelines.

There's been some confusion whether threads should be posted in Gaming Gossip or Technology Talk, confounded by the fact that I haven't been as thorough in moving threads as I should be.

If a thread is about VIDEO GAMES or GAMING CONSOLES, it should go in Gaming Gossip.

Threads about non-gaming devices, such as PC's or iPad's, should usually go in Technology Talk. The one exception is if you're discussing these devices purely within the context of games.

Examples of threads that should go in Technology Talk:
"iOS7 Discussion Thread"
"Intel's new Haswell processors"
"Why do the touchpads on Windows laptops suck so much?"
"Google's Project Loon"

Examples of threads that should go in Gaming Gossip:
"Xbox One Discussion Thread"
"Is the Wii U Gamepad actually useful?"
"Why are there so many more games on iOS than on Android?"
"What graphics card should I buy for playing video games?"

Of course, sometimes a discussion that was originally gaming-focused will become a discussion about technology. This is both natural and encouraged. Remember, these are GUIDELINES. If you're not sure, take a guess. No one is going to be punished because of where they chose to post a thread.
