One More Block

For the last month, when I try to open the original Angry Birds from my iPod, it shows me the title screen for a few seconds before taking me back to my home screen. Updating the app does nothing, and I know I'll lose my data reinstalling it, so I'd like to avoid that if I can.

This is a first for me, so...halp?

try reinstalling or check for updates, or restarting the ipod

The main problem: you have Angry Birds.

Isn't there a way to access the game data files. Perhaps to essentially make a copy?

Not without jailbreaking.

This is a problem with iOS in general. There needs to be a way to reinstall while preserving data. I'm amazed Apple hasn't done something about this.

Whoa, I never knew that. That's pretty odd. Isn't if a phone has been jailbroken it is no longer under warranty or something like that?

Its no longer under warranty, unless you re-install IOS on the ipod via itunes before sending it in. Never send in you ipod jailbroken (or Apple wont fix anything), you have to re-install IOS to kill the jailbreak first.

It's harder to break through the ribcage than the spine. Start from the back and you should be able to eventually cut through and open the birds up. Angry birds get particularly strong ribcages.
